Villamartin is one of the few towns to have its own Wikipedia entry and is located approximately 4.0 km inland from the eastern Mediterranean coast, in the southernmost quarter of the province of Alicante and 12 km southwest of the coastal town of Torrevieja.

The town is bordered by Los Almendros and La Florida to the east, Los Dolses to the south, the Real Club de Golf Campoamor to the west, and open fields and rural areas to the north.

Villamartin falls under the jurisdiction of the Orihuela Municipal Council. Two main roads connect the town to the Mediterranean residential areas of La Zenia and Cabo Roig and provide easy access to the N-332 and AP-7 coastal motorways.

There’s no doubt that the action centers around Villamartin Plaza, where shops, services, and gourmet restaurants can be found. There’s also an annual live music calendar that attracts talent and visitors from all corners of the world.
